Interests: Chemicals. I like chemicals. you can do stuff with chemicals. Like blowing up stuff. I like blowing stuff up. Lab instructors don't like me blowing stuff up. I also like computers and electronics and the great outdoors and volleyball and hockey and lots of other sports and hanging out with cool friends that have Xanga accounts and tons of other things that are interesting. Oh I almost forgot to mention that I'm interested in chemicals. Weird....maybe thats why I"m a chemical engineer.
Expertise: blowing up stuff with chemicals. I highly recommend dumping some water on magnesium *evil snicker* (WARNING: Please do not perform the above experiment unless you are one of my enemies cause I would feel guilty when I was visiting you in the hospital and staring at your missing arms)

So Algonquin park.  Good times there.  It was a lot of work between all the portages and the canoeing but it was still good times and the weather was awesome.  We had an hour and a half of light rain the one morning and the rest of the week it was warm and sunny.  We went swimming every day and found some pretty sweet rock jumps not to mention the waterfall.  Didn't see quite the wildlife I had hoped. I wanted to see more moose (We only saw one from about half a mile away) and I wanted to see a bear. But we did see  a ton of loons and otters and a few osprey's and an eagle and a beaver and we even heard some wolves the one night.  It was a very relaxing trip and it was sure nice to just be away from the pressures and stresses of life and not have to worry about deadlines or anything like that.

And then there were the stars.....It was just AMAZING how many more stars you could see there.  I grew up in the country were we could see  a lot more starts that in the city but that was still nothing compared to what you can see out there.  It was absolutetly stunning.  Gives one a newfound appreciation for the promise of God to Abraham that he would have descendants like the stars of the sky.  That was probably the thing that struck me the most about the trip.  I could spend hours every night just laying on my back staring up at the stars, and I in fact slept outside in the open a few night just for that reason.

A sample of the beauty of the park

The rock jump was awesome

That Waterfall felt sooooo good on our sore shoulders.  btw this is the small part of it there was a much higher part that could almost knock you out if you went under it.

I wore the same socks the entire week.  They smelled bad and I am disgusting.  But hey the loons didn't care and most of the time I was in bare feet anyways. Mind you a couple of those holes are from using the socks as a pot holder when cooking supper.  Mom made me throw them out....don't know why.

I'm back from algonquin park.  Alive and well, although a little sore from all the canoeing and portages, but school starts at 8:30 tomorrow...umm actually looking at the time ...this morning.  So I better get a bit of sleep.  More thourough post to follow.  Hopefully if I can find the time that is.  peace out.
